I went through a multi part interview process involving both answering written emails from customers and a mock call scenario similar to others listed here. In both cases I was told I had done well. I was excited to go for my face to face interview. But one of the interviewers seemed very condescending and just kind of gave me the evil eye the entire time. It made me very nervous and uncomfortable! The questions were extremely vague and at times I honestly had no answer for some. I've both interviewed and hired many people over the years and never experienced questions like this. But I felt so awkward and scrutinized by this one particular member of the hiring team that I'm not sure I could have given any good answers either way. After like a week and half I was just sent a generic form email saying they'd decided to hire someone else. I was confused and saddened because up until that point I had thought that everything was going very well. I really wanted to work at Square and was disappointed by the entire experience.
