Entrevista
Hiring process was pretty straightforward. After submitting an application, I received an invitation to interview in person with the store manager. She asked basic questions about my customer service skills and abilities, how I would handle difficult customer interactions, and etc. Little of the interview focused on selling abilities, which I thought was odd at a retail store. Nothing was mentioned of credit solicitation, which I later discovered was the main expectation by store and regional management.

Asking if I see myself with Belk in five years. While this is a standard question for most job interviews, I thought it was strange that it was asked for an entry level position.
I was a referral and had a brief discussion with the manager and got the job relatively easily. I think getting this job was one of the easier jobs I was able to obtain. However, this was back in 2010.

They asked me what my availability would be since it was around the holiday season.
One Interview with the department manager for a sales position. Super short, simple, and to the point.
I received the offer same down and then had to schedule onboarding with Human Resources.
It was your basic questions. Went fine. Nothing too detailed but it was for a base position at the holidays. They were looking for anyone dependable with a car basically.
