I was surprised that the HRBP was late for the session, especially in a Japanese organization where punctuality is highly valued as a sign of respect and professionalism. Disrespectful behaviour by cutting me off during the conversation. Made a schoolboy error - confused the position that I was interviewing for and was not at all apologetic for her error when I clarified. Didn’t appear to be honest during the interview - beat around the bush and didn’t give direct answers to my questions.
