Posted a letter along with a detailed resume. Had one interview with the case manager supervisor and was hired. Experience rather than education got me the job. When I hired on at Avalon I had upwards of 11 years in the corrections business, mostly in security. I wanted to broaden my horisons beyond just doing regular housekeeping duties.
