Atlassian interviewed me just to poach ideas. I was recruited via LinkedIn and met with the recruiter who asked a lot of questions about new ideas and recommendations I had. It was much more involved than a phone screen. Next, I had a meeting scheduled with the hiring manager. Before the meeting, I asked the recruiter about the seniority level of the position, and the recruiter admitted that the hiring manager had no intention of making it a senior role and wanted someone scrappy. I had the same amount of experience as the hiring manager, so I wondered why she bothered to interview me. The hiring manager had no intention of hiring me — they just wanted my ideas. I removed myself from the applicant pool as a result. The whole process seemed very unprofessional and showed a lack of character on the part of the hiring manager.

The process from beginning to end took just under two weeks. I was contacted by a recruiter at Atlassian via LinkedIn, had the phone screening with the recruiter, next was a zoom call with the hiring manager and then a virtual onsite round to finish the process.
They asked for an assessment, in the form of 2 nurture emails for the product I was interviewing for, as well as recommendations on what I would change on the product landing page to optimize and increase sign-ups and page traffic.
After the assessment was submitted and the final round interview (4 back-to-back meetings for the virtual on-site). During the process, I was told I would hear back in 48hrs but never received any feedback on the assessment or the interviews, from either the recruiter or the hiring manager.

Large time lag in between HR screening, first conversation with Hiring Manager and scheduling the final rounds. Otherwise , the team was very professional and friendly, had very job/task-specific questions versus broader, hypothetical questions, and HR was great on the follow up.

Scheduled an initial phone screen with recruiter, which was rescheduled multiple times on their end. Once I finally had a conversation with them, the recruiter informed me that the role had been filled, which was misleading and confusing.
