I applied for the position of Senior Software Developer through one of the job sites. I got a call from the HR after couple of days and the interview was scheduled. First of all they make you wait for over 1 hour because the HR team was having some training sessions. So after wasting over an hour staring at newspapers and other materials, I was called for the first round which was the HR round. The HR round is just questions about previous companies, family background etc. The HR told that you have to log 10 hours daily, which is actual 10 hours of work daily minus the tea/coffee/lunch break. That was OK with me as long as I am getting the desired salary. But then the HR drops the usual negotiation line - "We cannot afford that much salary". Why do you call me to the interview in the first place when you know what was my current and expected salary? And you want people to work for 10 hours daily? I agreed for the negotiation just for the technical round because my half day was already wasted. Technical round is usual ASP.NET, SQL, MVC questions. Mostly scenario based questions were asked. I was given a couple of queries to write also.
