But at the last round of interviews, the hiring managers talked to me and said the position I'm looking for doesn't actually exist? It was very upsetting to hear after investing so much time into prepping for 4 rounds of interviews.

They have you take an assesment, then the screening call with the talent manager then have you take another assessment (standard math and probability) and then have you build a project in an unusual coding language. Seems like a lot of work to go through before being interviewed by an actuary.
