A Recruitment Nightmare: My Unprofessional Interview Experience My recent experience with a Data Annotation position interview was incredibly frustrating and, frankly, unprofessional. What should have been a straightforward process turned into a multi-hour ordeal filled with disorganization and a blatant disregard for candidates' time. The initial invitation led me to a walk-in interview with 20-30 other hopefuls. We were subjected to a lengthy, unnecessary speech, followed by a two-hour wait before the interviews even began. To make matters worse, candidates from external recruitment agencies were given priority, extending my wait time to almost five hours just for a five-minute interview. It was an incredibly inefficient and disrespectful use of everyone's time. The offer letter itself was generic, lacking personalization and simply confirming a joining date of June 9, 2025. However, just two days before I was supposed to start, I received an email notifying me of a change in the joining date to June 16, 2025. This was already frustrating, but then it happened again: another notification stating that recruitment would be postponed until the following month. Following these repeated delays, all communication ceased. My phone calls and emails were ghosted, leaving me completely in the dark. This entire experience—from the disorganized interview day to the last-minute date changes and the complete lack of follow-up—demonstrates a profoundly unprofessional approach to recruitment. It's disheartening to encounter such a disregard for candidates' time and commitment.
