The process was a standard initial HR/recruiter screen. We discussed my background, which is mainly in LLM safety, alignment, and production ML systems. The recruiter also explained that the current team needs were more focused on speech/audio-to-text, clinical NLP, and medical code prediction use cases.
Ultimately, the role did not move forward because my experience was not the closest match for what they were prioritizing at the time. Overall, the conversation was straightforward and focused mostly on background fit and role alignment.
