      Entrevista de Social Media Assistant

      Solicitud

Envié una solicitud electrónica. El proceso duró 2 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en AIYA Technology System (Flushing, NY) en feb 2024

      Entrevista

You get an email from a recruiter, they send you a list of questions to fill out (regarding availability, pay range you're comfortable with, ect..) Then you get called in for an in person at their Flushing office. They have you fill out a form with references and recent work history, then they bring you to a nice conference room. The hiring manager goes over your resume with you and asks you typical questions with the role. They tell you a bit about the company and what they do. Afterwards, they send you a take home assessment (creating a marketing plan for grand opening of a business). I interviewed for this position twice in probably 1 year and a half, the first time I got the assessment, the second I didnt. Both times after the in-person/sending in the take home assessment, I didn't hear from them again until I sent a follow up email to which they responded letting me know I didn't get an offer. The office is empty, and the second time the person I interviewed with told me they were understaffed and they were actually doing a lot of duties that were outside of their scope of responsibilities and above their pay grade. It was evident to me that one would be overworked at the company and underpaid. The first time it became clear that I overshot my pay expectations, so the second time I listed my pay expectation at the very top of their pay range, due to my education and experience. They told me there would only be one other person I'd be working with in the department. Overall, the people I met were very nice, the office was okay beyond the conference room which was very nice with a view of the city. It seemed like a good place to get experience in but it also seemed like they preferred to have staff who spoke Mandarin (which I saw later on when they reposted the job listing)
