I applied and about 2-3 days later got a phone call for a quick review of my resume and to get details about the job. It went great, got told they were hiring a bunch of people (emphasized that), said I had great experience and I’d be a great fit. He then said I’d have to come in for an in person interview to seal the deal. The in person interview was with another person and it was the exact opposite of the first interaction. All of a sudden I didn’t have enough experience, seemed like he just wanted to end the interview, kept staring at my tattoos. He even insulted a friend of mine that used to work there. He gave me a tour of the factory, even though he seemed like he didn’t want to and wanted to get it over with. He kept mentioning the next interviewer, he even stopped to talk to him in the lobby when we were walking by. Pretty rude and awkward. I knew right then I would be passed over. Just wasn’t going well at all. At the end he told me to put away an orange safety vest they had me wear out on the floor and pretty much said “ok, bye”. No handshake, no instructions on the next step or anything. Just felt like he wanted me to leave. About 2 days later got an email saying I wasn’t a good fit and didn’t have enough experience.
