      Entrevista

This happened quite some time ago. Interviewed by the Account Director and Boss. From the moment I stepped into the boss’ office, the boss was already seated and just looking at his screen and did not give a single eye contact to acknowledge his interviewee or shake hand or anything from the moment I walked into his office. He asked his interview questions looking at the screen the entire time and while I was responding, he was still looking at the screen with zero expression or acknowledgement. I honestly felt like my presence or time wasn’t respected. On the other hand, the Account Director was attentive and gave eye contact throughout the interview, such a drastic difference between the both of them. To be honest, the vibe was off from the boss, stemming from the bad first impression I had of him with zero eye contact to me, and from my observation, the entire office was just filled with females workers back then, not that it’s wrong but it wasn’t a mixed environment (as far as I saw when I entered and exited). As the interview was ending, they mentioned that they will get back to me on the job interview and notify me of the outcome but instead, they ghosted me and have never sent an email or any update. When the interview ended, the boss still remained seated, eyes glued to his screen and just said bye while still looking at his screen (tbh I can’t even remember if he even said bye but let’s just take it that he did). At this point, I think I really felt disrespected by him (nothing on the AD as she was really nice). I left the ghosting from the company as that but just thought that it won’t be a company I would work for since there was no update or accountability from them despite them telling me that they’ll update me no matter the outcome and the disrespect the boss gave that made me felt like he didn’t even want to have an interview with me. Why bother having the interview if you’re not keen to spare some time to be present for the interview. Advice to the management - perhaps only arrange for interviews if you can respect another person’s time and have the decency to be respectful enough to give some eye contact.
