Job search can be a painful process, but that wouldn't be the case if all companies have such a wonderful hiring process as 6Sense. Here, you'll be interviewed with style! I applied for a data scientist position online, and within 10 days I was contacted by the company's recruiter, Hetal. She was very helpful and responsive, and explained the interview process to me, the requirements and sent me multiple emails with information about the company etc... I did a take-home challenge on HackerRank which lasted 3 hours, after I submitted the results within another 10 days, I was contacted again for setting up a full-day on-site interview with the data science team. That was my favorite part of the process! I arrived at 9 AM and started working on a problem till 3 PM. This day went in a manner similar to a regular work day, where I was discussing issues that came up while working on the challenge with the other data scientists, and they took me to lunch to a nice place around the corner. after 3 PM I presented my work and went through the code demonstrating my results and so on. It was fun and enriching, as the team would also point you out to things that you could improve / do better. Due to my background coming out of school and lacking experience in some of the industry tools, I was sent an email explaining to me that I do not meet some of the requirements as the team would like to have someone more senior, so I asked them about a possibility of joining as an intern and they were very welcoming of the idea. So now here I am, a data science intern, having a great time and learning a lot of important skills from an amazing team.
