Ventajas
You are making a difference in the lives and abilities of U.S. military servicemembers. Conduct of the DTC mission has a direct impact on providing new and improved capabilities into the hands of servicemembers, and has a direct impact on the ability of the U.S. Department of Defense to protect and defend the United States.
Desventajas
As with most U.S. federal organizations, getting things done takes entirely too long. Many accomplishments are made in spite of red tape and lack of leadership understanding or support. Other positive potentials fail to be realized for these same reasons. Leadership is not fully engaged in understanding of some business-essential activities, which would be fine if lower-level workers were empowered, but often they are not.
