Ventajas
The RSA has an incredibly devoted, enthusiastic, and supportive staff collective who consistently go the extra mile in their work. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable, very friendly and incredibly empathetic. During my time here I've had the pleasure of engaging with one of the most intelligent, imaginative, and friendly teams I've ever worked with.
Desventajas
I arrived during one of the most distressing periods that the RSA staff has experienced in recent times. The new leadership has caused considerable detriment to the staff body by implementing changes in the organisation's strategy and staffing structure without prior consultation with its staff. The mandatory requirement of being in the office for three days a week lacks substantial business justification (upon consulting with HR, they explained 'this is just how it is'), which isn't particularly accommodating for working parents or staff with caring responsibilities. The effectiveness of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives raises significant doubts, as they are not fully integrated into the organisation's mission, objectives, and values (important note: I've never witnessed senior management attend a DEI session organised by staff). The rate of staff turnover is alarmingly high, surpassing anything I've observed in any of my previous workplaces; leaving do's became a normal occurrence. There isn't any opportunity for training or development.
