The interview process was interesting, full of lots of information needed pertaining to training, insurance information, PTO.

Desventajas

Once you're in, it's downhill from there. They train you for what they want you to do and do not train you for the many things that are available to do. Women are limited to either packing or pulling, no cutting of elfa products, no rider training, and only select few are allowed to be trained in manifesting. Once you are trained in what they want you to do, you do that same thing for 10 hours a day, day after day after day, sweatshop style. When orders are up, management still stands around with their hands in their pockets or hides out in the air conditioned offices while the ones that are actually out working are sweating their butts off in the non-climate controlled environment. The only time management speaks to you is when you make a mistake. A former co-worker told me they ranked #14 in the Fortune ratings and then less than a week after that announcement, they froze wages and quit matching 401k's indefinitely! They hand pick the employees to do the survey so no wonder they rank high, no doubt it's the corporate office people that do the survey.

Everyone from director level on down in my department was great. Very collaborative. Gave you autonomy to do and try new things.

Desventajas

Where do I start…Sr. Leadership is TERRIBLE. I mean absolutely horrific. No direction and plans were changing at the drop of a dime after the BB&B “merger”. You could feel the shift in the culture, just NASTY attitudes and taking the employees for granted. The new CEO and the rest of Sr. level execs acted like everyone was just expendable workhorses. They touted reopening the headquarters cafe as some awesome benefit so they could bring people back to the office full time. If you’re going to be bullish and require everyone back, have some guts and just do it. But don’t act like a cafe is some life changing benefit to get everyone excited. Anyway, blind leading the blind. The merit increase or raises - non existent. No 401k match. Nothing positive because the company is so broke. The new store concept sounds a mess. Save yourself and don’t even apply, let alone accept an offer. Joel Bines is no longer the CEO. He was a great guy and I think he had great ideas. Marcus Lemonis is the new CEO and I would give him a thumbs down.
