Ventajas

-Pay & benefits are great -Will learn a lot/gain tons of experience in less time than other hospitals due to trauma level 1 status. -Coworkers are friendly & helpful

Desventajas

You will WORK for every penny you earn here. This hospital only cares about their image and making money, not their employees or patients well-being. They nitpick and micromanage several small and insignificant details but turn a blind eye to that really continuous issues in the hospital. Almost never get your breaks or lunches. Out of ratio/short staffed very often. Patients are very heavy/high acuity & you do not have the resources needed to adequately care for them. Don’t have CNAs a lot of nights & often we only have one CNA for all 40 patients on our unit…most of our patients are vented, trached, immobile, obese so it is a major challenge. Management is pretty bad in all units, don’t know what they’re doing and only care about their personal image in the eyes of the hospital. I have only been here a little over a year and I am burnt out! I’m grateful for the experience and my amazing coworkers, but this is overall a very brutal place to work.
