Ventajas
-Good entry level job, getting some experience in for when you apply to better jobs -Customer's are spending so much money already that when you have a coupon or something behind the counter for them, they'll love you for life -Some other associates are so nice, but are scarce
Desventajas
-Poor pay, they only offer a 2% [yes, only two percent] raise every year, even after I was told 3% -The company loves teenagers. They love to hire them while they're still defenseless and inexperienced so that they can screw them over. -Shift managers are paid too little so they take frustrations out on associates -The associates are as happy as the company keeps them...which is not too well -Employee discount is 20% off, but only on regular-priced items [which is like buying them at a "normal" price, anyways, no real discount there] -Like every job that works with the public, you are expected by customer's to know everything and are blamed when you don't -Humiliation of not being trusted to do a return, to void an item from a sale, or to even void a sale altogether without giving a full explanation to the customer why you cannot finish their sale without a manager's approval and awkwardly waiting for the next five minutes until the manager finally decides to show up -No security. There is not a single Rite-Aid that I know of that has a fully-functioning, working camera that is recording at all times. Not ONE. Oh yes, there are faux cameras that blink and look real, but the management has given up replacing the batteries so that it doesn't even blink anymore. Making it seem as though they never worked in the first place, which the didn't. Meaning? You get robbed, abused, or anything of that sort, you have no proof.
