Nepotism is alive and well, with a significant number of people holding positions based on relationships rather than qualifications, which destroys morale and makes it nearly impossible to feel like hard work is recognized. Quarterly layoffs have become routine and talk of missing budget is constant, making any sense of job security or career growth nearly impossible.
