I worked as an intern for Rubin singer the fashion designer. I got an internship with him and worked under two people named Seth and Mila. This place was so unprofessional they didn’t ask for any paperwork when I started this internship was unpaid. They didn’t pay for transportation like a metro card even when they ask you to run around manhattan delivering things for them. I had to spend my own money sometimes for supplies for their own office. They didn’t provide absolutely no training so they would get mad when you didn’t do exactly what they wanted. The hours where long for an unpaid internship. There was definitely a lot a favoritism among the interns. The office is so small there isn’t really any space for the interns to go except a closet. I remembered the AC broke in the office and it was the middle of summer it was deadly working in there. Rubin the owner of the company had the worst attitude and treated his interns like trash. Also all the seamstresses who worked in the office where all foreign and underpaid. Interns had to clean everything. They where very stingy about money. They had one intern take the job of the receptionist because she quit and didn’t pay the intern. This job was absolutely terrible definitely the worst place I ever worked. I recommend staying away from this designer even if your just an intern please don’t ever work here.
