Ventajas
Very flexible and great for some extra cash every week. You will learn your local store(s), which you work every week, about as well as their employees. It's a fun challenge to find the right items or scan a department of items. They pay for driving mileage but not a lot.
Desventajas
You won't make much money, at least to start, but it's income and good for a resume. No insurance benefits. Everything is virtual on Teams or over phone, so far I haven't seen anyone in person except I got lucky and was connected with a coworker in the area to help with training, but that seems to be rare. The trainers and managers might not be in your state to know how region- specific stores work.. specific products, etc. It's not hard, but there is a learning curve at first that has to "click" - I'm still in training period ($ per hour) before moving to piece rate. I'm now right at the border between $/hr and piece rate, and they seem to be manipulating me to quit. There is no communication. None. There's only passive aggressive emails from people who live across the country and have no idea what's going on in TN or how these stores work. They won't give feedback, they just want to "train" more instead of flat out telling me what is going well and what to change. And they are trying to take jobs away from a coworker to give to me, without communication to either. Sure, you can make an extra $40 a week but it's a lot of passive aggressive unnecessary stress. Is that really worth it?
