Ventajas

-I had a supportive, readily available program manager although hands were tied by client/contractor relationship - LM had internal resources for professional growth -benefits are decent; matching is great up to 8% (if i recall correctly) -LM is great if you're on the right contract. I did not have that fortune.

Desventajas

- Had a HORRIBLE client experience, she was a micromanager like I've never seen/heard of before, provided little to no support or interest in professional growth, stereotypical government mentality "do things like this because that's the way we've been doing it like this for 8 years", she lacked in subject matter expertise (which became apparent to her staff), etc. In turn, by this person being the client, there was little LM could do to change this. I wish my manager had been more transparent about the client's management style so they/I could have found a better fit. My colleagues are all highly educated (multiple graduate and terminal degrees), all with over 10 years experience, and our supervisor (client) managed us as though we were recent college graduates- hence, VERY low office morale. - I wish LM had more opportunities for staff who work on client-site interact with the corporate office- even if it meant after-hours networking, training sessions. I felt a real disconnect because I was on the client site 5 days a week-- and a client who made us move mountains if we wanted to attend a out-of-office training, workshop, etc- even when relevant to work. When it came time to looking for a new assignment, I was at a disadvantage. - They require you to enter your previous salary when completing the application. I don't know how you get around this required field. I was offered just a couple thousand above my previous salary-- which was a severe low-ball considering the GS equivalent of my position (which I later learned). Seriously low-balled. I needed the job at the time, so I was not in a position to push back. -The economy was at it's worst at the time, so I stayed longer than I should have. I knew in the first 7 months, this was a no-where position. Live and learn. (excuse any typos)

Ventajas
