Ventajas

Having read numerous posts on this site, I am surprised by the negative comments, as they do not seem to be a true reflection of the group. While it is true that the group has undergone significant changes over the past few years, integrating several small businesses into a single collaborative group, I personally view these changes as very positive and supportive of the future for everyone involved. Many of my colleagues share this sentiment. The group offers an excellent benefits package and is making impressive strides towards sustainability. Additionally, it has a social committee that organizes regular local and remote events, including an annual all-company conference dinner where colleagues from around the world gather. There is a mix of remote and hybrid working, with some really nice offices in Manchester, Macclesfield and London.

Desventajas

As with any growing business, not everyone appreciates the feel of a larger organisation. I believe the transition to a group structure has been challenging for some.

Ventajas

A reasonable work-life balance. Not usually expected to remain late.

Desventajas

Poor line management, lack of support given or training, feedback is minimal without any steps to push improvement or further career development. Check-ins offer no guidance. Pay is minimal and not worth the stress you are put under to perform without guidance, especially in entry level roles.

Ventajas

A good variety of projects, working from home, opportunities to travel for conferences, and nice company days or get-togethers

Desventajas

Bioscript Group has gone from a decent workplace to a toxic one. There’s relentless pressure on billable hours, and “check-ins” are really just micromanagement disguised as support. Teams are often under-resourced as people leave and aren’t replaced. Training is minimal unless you’re senior, support for juniors is weak (especially in these under-resourced teams), and HR is largely unresponsive. Overall communication from SLT and HR is poor, rules keep changing, and promotions or financial progression are unclear. Overall, it unfortunately became a high-pressure, micromanaged, bean-counting environment where numbers matter far more than people.
