Our AAA Life associates in Livonia celebrated Diwali last week with a colorful event involving food, decorating competitions, and traditional dress. Known as the Festival of Lights, this Indian holiday celebrates the triumph of good over evil. Thank you to our Asian American Associate Resource Group for organizing and sharing Diwali customs!
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, AAA Life is supporting the fight against breast cancer by donating to the American Cancer Society and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation! We’re also incredibly proud of our associates who joined fundraising events, wore pink to show support, and shared powerful messages of hope throughout October. Their efforts embody AAA Life’s commitment to stand with those impacted by breast cancer—fighters, survivors, caregivers and their families.
Last week, AAA Life’s Michigan-based associates recognized 55 years of supporting AAA members and their loved ones with life insurance coverage at a special celebration. Our associates work hard to meet the needs of policyholders across the country, and this event honored our award-winning team for their dedication and impact, past and present. We look forward to celebrating this milestone next month with our Omaha-based associates!
145 associates at AAA Life across multiple departments participated in a two-day Hackathon competition leveraging Microsoft’s Power Platform tools, to address real-world business challenges. Various teams used their collective brainpower, problem-solving, and collaboration skills to build automation solutions that addressed these challenges and help AAA Life continue to improve our policyholder experience. Three teams took home trophies in recognition of their contributions in categories such as Creativity, Impact, and Speed-to-Delivery. We’re thankful for every associate who got involved and are already planning next year’s Hackathon!
Our 2024 summer interns had a community service day at Forgotten Harvest last week! The group helped package more than 8,700 pounds of food for distribution to families in need throughout the community. “It was rewarding to give back and work alongside such a dedicated team,” said Austin Mathews, an intern with AAA Life’s Finance department. Our interns’ experience this summer has included meet-and-greets with our executive leadership team, lunch outings, and hands-on training about the benefits of LinkedIn. We are grateful for their energy and enthusiasm as they learn and grow at AAA Life!
Another incredible (and hot!) year at AAA Life’s annual Charity Golf Classic! We are excited to announce the event raised $27,000 for United Way for Southeastern Michigan and the company is matching that donation for a grand total of $54,000. Thank you to all that participated, donated, and volunteered to make this event a great success!

Last week, more than 175 associates participated in AAA Life’s inaugural Diversity Fair, organized by the Diversity and Inclusion Council. The event offered opportunities to learn more about the company’s Associate Resource Groups, network with colleagues, participate in educational activities, and hear from executive leadership during a panel focused on the importance of diversity. Through events like the Diversity Fair, AAA Life continues to build upon the belief our associates are stronger when they are celebrated for the unique individuals they are!
