Ventajas
Let start out with what is HAP. HAP stands for the Homework Assistance Program. They hire high school student to work at various libraries across Boston to help children with their homework and schoolwork. I for one, love kids. They are full of energy, playful, and down straight adorable! They are our future and we are their teacher. In order to be eligible for HAP, one must maintain a B-average throughout their school year. We must also send our report every term to make sure we are keeping up with our grades. Working with HAP, if you love kids, is very fun! After you help them with whatever it is they need help on, you are free to do your homework or play with the kids .I chose to play. HAP also have this unique star system where everytime a kid completes his homework, though one of the HAP mentors help, they are rewarded a star. Once the children have been rewarded up to 10 stars, they are bring to the Library's closet and are able to select, from a wide range of options; toys, art materials, paper, or anything they see.
Desventajas
A bad thing about this is, obviously, no sick days. If we miss a day we must come up with some way to make it up. Another bad point is the pay. It's not very much. But then again, the work isn't that difficult either.
