Best buy has gone under about 3 restructures in the past 5 years and we are looking at facing 2 more. Stores are extremely understaffed and overworked all while trying to keep a "PC" all inclusive mindset. It's nearly impossible to terminate employees that consistently don't show up to work or are late. Ive fist hand have seen employees miss 2 weeks of work and was met with no repercussions. Ive also seen the stores open and close for the day with a total of 4 associates (2 in the AM and 2 in the PM) expected to cover every single department and field every customer. Best buy does not hire off merit or qualification. I'm certain that bestbuy is guilty of "ghost jobs" where there's postings for work but we have no intention of actually hiring anyone. Pay is abysmal I've worked at best buy for quite some time and am met with the same pay I can get with entry level fast food job. There is no actual leadership rolls now and most of the weight falls on "veteran" associates and maybe 1 manager.
