Greedy owner. Very dishonest, if they knew you are foreigner, they will try everything to take advantage of you. The techniques used in this company is way too much outdated. Still using 3dmax for product modeling, Vray rendering? Keyshot is awesome, the rest of the world are using keyshot and they still use skills that are consider old. They don't know what design really is. Here you cannot have chance to experience the great project. Think about it, who will come to theirs, to have awesome project. With 8 USD/hour, do you think you really have the passion for work? Show some respect to your employee. Nobody stay long, why the salary barely support your life and there's no growth for you ahead. That's the only option you have. Or I guess they knew it so that they don't care.
