A un Technical Sourcer le preguntaron...10 de julio de 2020

All situation questions and they expect you to answer them with the STAR approach. For example: Tell me about a time when you had to collaborate with different members of your organization to get something done.

Use the STAR approach

The key in these questions is to cover the fundamentals. There's usually a back-and-forth with the interviewer. Might be worth doing a mock interview with one of the Facebook Technical Sourcer experts on Prepfully? They give some real-world practice and guidance, which is pretty helpful. prepfully.com/practice-interviews Menos

What would you do if you had to hire 10 Dutch speakers with F&A experience in 2 weeks?

1 respuestas

Good question. Let me attempt to answer it. I would suggest first to contact all Recruitment agencies we work with ASAP and communicate the urgency of the openings. Second, depending on the number of HR people that can help with this, we start looking through our own database as well as post Ads to as many best job portals that we can, depending on the Advertising Budget we'll get for these openings. Third, make sure that the HR people and all colleagues that would be involved in the recruitment process are up to date and realize the urgency and required expediency of the situation after we have sourced a good number of relevant CVs, I'd say at least 15 good CVs - 20 is best. Of course, the success/failure of this situation is relatively highly dependent on the Site of the Company in question. If in Europe and in The Netherlands - easy. If outside Europe, quite difficult. I hope this answer helps someone in the future. Kind regards, Mariyan Zhelev Recruiter Menos

What do you feel the appropriate amount of compensation would be for your services?

2 respuestas

Difficult only because at the time of the interview I had no basis for what position or level I was being interviewed for. Menos

True the same they asked of me as well. They want to hire but want to give them low wages next to nothing. I previously worked in a job making more than 15 dollars, when I was interviewed w/ them, I asked for 13 an hour and they bulked at that even though I was not asking what I used to make, I even lowered the wages. Thankfully got a job else where making more than this later on. Menos

The demanding part can be the detailed questions on numbers and timeframes of recruitment processes in different stages of your experience

Be really prepared with the correct data otherwise you will look like you don't know your business or don't care. Menos

None of the sizes quite fit me.

Not sure why that question was asked but given that the interview allegedly talked about herself..I think they just brought you in to pick your brains for fresh idea for FREE! Menos

Told them about a difficult hiring manager I worked with in the past. Described that we were all under a lot of pressure and the hiring manager was juggling two roles and a huge move for him and his family, but was redirecting the energy towards me helping him hire. Had to have a serious 1 hr meeting to go through everything and get on the same page. After that, we became really good friends aside from work. Menos

A un Sourcer le preguntaron...11 de agosto de 2010

Describe in detail sourcing methods you've used.

2 respuestas

I will answer this in 2 parts: Comment (for the candidate ears only) - I would put this company at the bottom of my list personally because this type of question is more about intelligence gathering than anything else. Answer - My sourcing methods are what make me unique for any sourcing role because each company has it's own unique place in their domain / industry such as their reputation with candidates or history with their recruiting/hiring process that helps me plot my path to establish my detailed sourcing methods for a particular company and open position. Once that is established , broad relevant candidate's technical skills for the role are gathered, then unique to the role / team relevant skills make the next cut, then resumes/profiles are read line by line & those are the candidates I call/email to make my hit rate high for responses after I personalize the email or prep myself for the call. These are the detailed sourcing methods I use and the tools are Boolean searches, social media proof/footprints, Customized Google Search Engines and finally my network of candidates I've established over the last 20 years. Note: Seems long but I timed it and it took 58 seconds to say the above. After you answer the question just shut-up and wait for their response. Don't give away too much information because otherwise what do they need you for then ? I always say you have to pay for me to relay anything that you can implement today :-) Menos

How will you familiarize yourself with your new job?

My answer was to not be shy about asking questions and be involved in all aspects. The correct answer was visit the store after work and on the weekend to familiarize yourself with product. Menos
