Collecting myself I asked permission to use the whiteboard, I then used the whiteboard to step through the problem and come up with answers and solutions. Using the whiteboard ended up being the key to landing the job, they felt that even though I didn't know the answers, the ability to get to the right conclusion by working through it and being able to see how I would attack problems beyond my scope - gave them the confidence to move ahead with an offer of employment. Relate to my internship problems and final year project scenario
They basically asked about my resume and my experience with certain tools and methods and a little about my device fabrication and characterization experience. All of the questions were very basic and they did not cross question much. They later asked questions related to conflicts with teammates, time-management, and if I am willing to go to Taiwan for training.
