Explain recursion to a 3 year old

Recursion is like a stem on broccoli. Breaking off each stem is simply reducing the whole by using smaller parts of itself. Menos

Hello, as an MS employee I have created an interview prep guide for Microsoft interviews, based on my and my colleagues' recent interview experiences. The guide has questions you should expect along with our answers that got us into Microsoft. You can find it here: interviewjoy.com/services/interview-process-details/microsoft-program-product-manager-interview-questions-answers-details-ms/ (please do not forget to also look at the reviews at the bottom of that page). Thanks and good luck! Ryan Menos

Yes. Can you confirm location and contact?

Cypress Semiconductor

You have to be technically quite competent to get into Cypress. The CEO himself is highly technical with a Ph.D. and stays up to date on technology developments.

Honesty is the best way to handle difficult questions. If you establish you are smart and intelligent, you will be excused if you admit your lack of knowledge in some areas. Menos

I have experience and I love the challenge this opportunity presents

CPS Energy

The behvioral based questions used the STAR format, (Situation, Task, Action, Result.) This allows the interviewer to gather information about a specific capacity that the job requires. Situation: The interviewer wants you to present a recent challenge and situation in which you found yourself. Task: What did you have to achieve? The interviewer will be looking to see what you were trying to achieve from the situation. Action: What did you do? The interviewer will be looking for information on what you did, why you did it and what the alternatives were. Result: What was the outcome of your actions? What did you achieve through your actions and did you meet your objectives? What did you learn from this experience and have you used this learning since?

I gave specific, detailed examples. The interviewer is looking for past experience, not theory. Menos

Explain your experience of program management

Publicis Sapient

Case study came with 6 questions about risk, time, build a schedule, ect.

It was a very pleasant interview, and everyone was very cordial. I felt it was a strong showing, but I never really received a strong explanation of why I did not receive the position after asking to help cover any skill set gaps. I was told timing had a factor and that I could be really useful for upcoming projects, but that left me wondering why I did not have an offer. In any case I was disappointed, thanked them for their time, and moved on. Menos
