    Entrevista para IT Specialist

Candidato de entrevista anónimo en Denver, CO (Estados Unidos)
    Sin oferta
    Experiencia negativa
    Entrevista normal

    Solicitud

Solicité el puesto a través de un captador. El proceso duró 3 días. Acudí a una entrevista en censhare (Denver, CO (Estados Unidos)).

    Entrevista

A series of unfocused Phone calls and Email exchanges with a recruiter who operates outside of the US. I had read the other GlassDoor reviews so I was prepared for a poor experience. The recruiter was very nice and polite but had me on speaker phone making her accent more difficult to deal with and we all know how terrible speaker phone sounds in general.

    Preguntas de entrevista

    • Exceptionally vague in regards to skill sets. The recruiter is nontechnical making answering questions difficult.   1 respuesta

    Solicitud

Solicité el puesto a través de un captador. El proceso duró Más de 4 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en censhare en noviembre de 2014.

    Entrevista

Censhare provides digital asset management SW for clients across numerous verticals (retail, publishing/digital, automotive, IT, etc.).

The process: it was quite arduous, mainly due to the busy schedules of the CEO and other head sales and business development staff. There was little contact with HR and I was passed directly on to the CEO (company is relatively small at ~150 people in SD, BD, Sales, Marketing, HR, etc.). After a couple of months of no contact ostensibly due to a company expansion efforts taking up a lot of their time, dialogue was re-initiated and I was interviewed two further times. Though I could imagine working for such a small firm, the lack of communication and better coordination among the higher-ups make me doubt if their expansion plans in the US and Europe can truly be realized. I was asked to prepare a presentation for a potential European BD rollout for censhare's partnership management model (whereby IT partners are used as sales channel).

    Entrevista

    1. Initial round was with an HR and the Team Lead. Just understanding the job role and you as a candidate. Both were nice people.

    2. The second round was in their office with a so-called "Technical Architect" and a so-called "Scrum Master". The questions from the scrum master were kinda funny, I still wonder what those questions had to do with the job role. On the other hand, the Technical Architect didn't seem to have so much grasp on using Cloud Technologies, so he was only expecting me to answer what he considers to be an answer. He asked few questions related to the problems that they are facing with their legacy code (dealing with files). He was mentioning about files often, and I have no idea why we need to keep all user data in the form of files. I felt like it's the legacy code, and the answers were expected to fix only that and I wasn't expected to give a different solution!!
In the end, it was a total waste of time for me. Surprisingly, after the interview, their behavior changed totally and the politeness vanished in minutes. They themselves started discussing about some of their meetings, with me saying "thank you". Overall, it wasn't a good experience.
Nevertheless, I already have 3 offers, I thought of trying here as the Glassdoor reviews are very good (which I am doubtful about now).
My advice is that be aware of the legacy code that you will be fixing, then only think of trying.

    Entrevista para Applications Specialist

Empleado anónimo en Munich, Baviera (Alemania)
    Oferta aceptada
    Experiencia positiva
    Entrevista fácil

    Solicitud

Solicité el puesto a través de un captador. El proceso duró 3 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en censhare (Munich, Baviera (Alemania)) en octubre de 2017.

    Entrevista

The whole process from the initial phone call (from a recruiter) to me signing the contract lasted a couple of weeks.
The recruiter contacted me and set an interview at censhare Munich for the next week. I sat down with the HR representative, the department manager, and a team lead. All three of them were very welcoming.
The HR representative asked a few common HR questions, then offered some information about the company, benefits, and salary. Then we moved to the technical part of the interview.
The second part of the interview was focused on my past technical experience and the actual product I'd be supporting. This was more of a conversation rather than technology-specific questions or tests. This makes sense sin I was not applying for a developer position but customer service-oriented. They were eager to explain how the different shifts work, they support model, and they really answered all the questions I had.
At the end of the interview they told me they had really enjoyed the conversation and were looking forward to us working together. The HR representative also mentioned that in no more than a week they would tell me whether or not they'd be extending an offer. As this might have been just common courtesy, I didn't get my hopes too high.
However, the interview was on a Friday and on next Monday I received the call from the HR person extending the job offer. A few days later I was sending back the signed contract to them.
Overall, they were always very clear with the information and open to answer questions, they also kept their word regarding time for hearing back and sending the contract. It was really one of my best experiences with a recruiting process.
