They had already decided to hire me before I got there, and gave me a sales pitch so I would take the job. They called me, were very upbeat on the phone. Seemed very nice. Overall seemed like good people. There was no negotiation, no questions asked of me, they just wanted me to start working there asap. I understand that sometimes people quit or you get a lot of work and it didn't seem fishy to me, but later it turned out the reasons why they found themselves in that situation were definitely their fault. I don't need to have a full time job, there is plenty of work for me. But it was pitched to me so I said ok, sure give it a try. Lesson learned.
