Your client is a local car dealership who uses AdWords but is not interested in expanding into mobile advertising. What are some advantages to mobile advertising that you would bring up in order to convince him or her to do so?

Did you use a public transportation in the last few years? Did you notice what people do while they travel/wait for their bus/train? That's right - browsing on their smartphones! Basically, a large percentage of people who use public transportation do not have a car and are constantly on their phone, so if you present them an add that says something like : "Tired to wait for the train? Get a new car for only 899$ a month!" Chances are, a big percentage of them will convert into paying customers. Menos

Given three random variables (x,y,z) that are i.i.d, what is the probability of x+y+z < 1

3 respuestas

answer is: 1/6

The answer is 1/6. Explanation: draw a cube of side length 1 with a base that defined by the points (0,0), (0,1), (1,0), (1,1) and 1 unit high. The volume underneath the plane x+y+z=1 is 1/4 of a pyramid height=1 and base 2, thus the pyramid has volume 1/3 * 1 * 2. Taking 1/4 of this volume is 1/6. Menos

?= P[x+y+z>1] = E[ P(x>1-(y+z)) / y,z] = E[ U(1-(y+z)) if (y+z)<1; 1 otherwise ] where U is the repartition function for a Uniform([0,1]) ?= E[ min((y+z),1) ] = E[ y+z / z<1-y] This last quantity can be computed through integrals using uniform densities : ?= Integral(y=0 to 1) [ y + Integral(z=0 to 1-y) [ z dz ] dy ] = Integral(y=0 to 1) [ y + (1-y)^2/2 dy ] ?= [ y^2/2 - (1-y)^3/6 ] taken between y=1 and y=0 ?= 1/2 + 1/3 = 5/6 Menos

Walk me through your deck

cloud services

This "deck" would be your "walking deck," or "personal pitch deck." These are very popular in Microsoft sales so make yourself on. Menos

If you are interviewing for a sales role, make sure you bring a pitch deck that covers: 1. Intro on yourself, 2. Why you are a good fit for the role, 3. How you would approach the territory/job, 4. 30-60-90- day plan. Menos

10 people of different ages sitting around a table. What's the probability of sitting in an age-ascending order?

3 respuestas

The answer is 20/10!. There are 10! ways to sit around the table and 10 ways to sit in ascending order. But since you didn't specify direction, there's actually 20 ways to sit around the table in order. Menos

Another way to think about it: You have (n-1)! different arrangement to sit people around the table. You fix one person, and sit the rest. Or you take an arrangement and divide that by n "rotations". Both ways work. The ascending order is just 1 order fixed. 2 if you count both ways. Menos

Both of the above answers are correct 20/10! = 2/9!, and when n = 10, we have 2/(10-1)! = 2/9!. The key is the reasoning described in the second comment. Indeed, fix one person and sit the rest 9 people. Let's say each people's name is just their age. The only 2 possible orderings of the remaining 9 people such that we have an ascending order around a table would be 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9, and 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1. Thus, of the 9! possibilities, 2 of them are in ascending order. Menos

Insert a new data point at the head of a singly linked circular list in constant time. Given a pointer to the current head of the circular list.

3 respuestas

Insert the new element after the current head, and then swap the new value with the current head. Menos

For a singly linked circular list, assuming you have a pointer to the tail of the list (rather than the head) to make insertion at head and tail constant time, here's how to insert at the beginning (head) in constant time: temp = Node(val2BeInserted) temp.setNext(self.tail.getNext()) self.tail = temp (given the classes Node and SinglyLinkedCircularList) with (value, next=None) and (tail) attributes, respectively. if a square is completely covered by 25 radius 2 coins (overlap and hanging out allowed) can be covered by 100 radius 1 coins?

Yes, it is possible - one needs 84 coins with radius one to cover the same square, which 25 coins with radius 2 can cover. Menos
