Competency and personal based questions to judge fit and capability. 2 stages from what I remember over 2 different days Manager and team members were part of the interview panel

1. Applied on the Whitbread website 2. Received an invite for an interview via email 2 days later 3. I scheduled an interview for a week later 4. Had the interview remotely on Teams with 2 Finance Managers 5. Got offered the job the next day (less than 24 hours later)!

Very long process for the role. Almost 4 months and at the end no offer. In total 3 interviews. Numerous calls with recruitment advisor. Fair play to recruitment team who was keeping me on loop throughout process.

Applied online and received a request for an Assessment face to face Interview. Visited the hotel and was met by the team leader who explained about the job and timings.

Very easy and relaxed atmosphere at the interview with the store manager. as long as you have a bit of common sense, you’ll smash your duties with no difficulties. Just be yourself, show initiative and willingness to work hard and learn, and be a part of the team, where everyone works equally hard and you’ll be ok

Very good exchange of information, genuine interest in my career history, motivation for applying for the role and excellent communication of the company's requirements, vision etc Thorough explanation of the role

Extremely disorganized especially for an open recruitment day where: - there was no signage present or a proper sign in sheet only an excel sheet where the person didn't seem to know how to navigate the basics such as control F or sort by dates - no printed application forms, only blank sheets of printer paper and told to write a few items like contact information - extremely unprofessional housekeeper, she was rude, aggressive told to follow a housekeeper for a trial, she was not helpful at all and was not able to communicate in any basic level of English for any direction with an angry tone. Without a smidge of proper direction, I felt that the trial was setup for failure by the miserable team there. And it absolutely did not help that she was using pillow cases to clean the excrement covered toilets and the same sink towel to dry the coffee and water cups next to the TV.

It was properly organized. Had video interview. Had two members in the panel, Pricing manager and pricing analyst. Technical, situational based and judgmental questions were asked. It went very well. They expect more accurate answers with proper examples.

Painful, slow, uninformative. Seemed like the interviewer had no idea what to ask or what was really required. Asked to deliver a presentation that was not read prior to my interview - complete mess.

Interview over the phone and then a trial. Very good company and workers. Brilliant training and support network within the company. Very polite and helpful and made to feel at ease and felt very appreciated
