Entrevista

An agency contacted me regarding the opportunity. I took a prescreening interview with HR. I then took a basic JavaScript test case online which was basically a small FizzBuzz. Then there was a live coding session with their developers which was no longer than 15 minutes. The hadn't looked at what I had done in the past nor looked at my github account.

I applied to Typeform along with a few other remote companies. They sent me a tech test, and I decided not to take it since I generally don't continue on with companies who send a tech test as a first step. Their HR person followed up to ask me if I planned on taking it, so I figured I'd give it a shot since they reached out. I spent a few hours on the questions, and got a form 'no' response. Unless you are desperate to get into tech, my advice is to avoid companies who send a tech test immediately before giving you a feel for the company. It's hard to get a sense of what type of support they're looking for without giving you a chance to interview first. I got a few offers from other companies who took the time to get to know me and gave me a good idea of what they were looking for before giving me a tech test which is generally a best practice in support.

I had a really good interview over the internet which was great! And then I had a second interview with an arrogant marketing person who asked unrelated questions and had an average to poor attitude. Her whole interview approach screamed that i was interviewing for an internship and it was below her.

I still have not heard back, no wonder the company is struggling with customer retention!

HR from Typeform contacted me and we setup first Skype call. It was less then hour long and very general questions were asked from HR side. Like: what are your strengths, why us, etc. First opinion from my side was not so good. After 1 week surprisingly next interview was setup with CTO. Then this interview was postponed for 2 weeks due to some internal company reasons.
Interview with CTO was good and productive. We spoke almost 2 hours and touched all aspects of my previous experience and also way how Typeform works. Interview was completely free flowing and really easy for me.
After that interview nothing happened. There were no refusal mail, that should be normal and polite assuming there were 2 interviews. HR does not response on repeated questions from my side as well.

Very friendly and accommodating, if somewhat long winded - interviewed with 6 different people. I did find that the role wasn't established as of yet (indeed after the interview, they re-released the position to include some of the skills I said would be needed for the role).

I submitted my application through the company site. There was a Typeform form developed for the application. Along with submitting a CV, the form requested work samples and various ways of showing your abilities. Following this I was contacted by human resources to schedule a face-to-face interview. They were very flexible in scheduling a time and this was done by me submitting my availability on a calendar. The face-to-face interview was between a human resources member and a team leader in the position's department. It was on premise and the Typeform offices are very cool. There is a bar at the entrance happy to serve you a drink while you wait. Very chill and welcoming atmosphere. The interview lasted about an hour. In the end, the position was not a great fit for what I wanted, nor was I a great fit for the position so this was the end of the process.

First I filled out the form online and got a call the following day. After a sucessful skype interview, I was quickly invited to meet the team I would be working with. Unfortunately, there was no chemistry with the team and I after four weeks, and on the Friday before Christmans, I received an automated e-mail saying that I would not be moving forward in the selection process.

Applied online through their website, which consists of a, longer than usual, (Type)form you have to fill.
Received an automated response at the moment, and 20 days later was contacted by HR for a 30-minute remote (videoconference) interview with HR and an engineer, which took place another 2 weeks after (5 weeks since application).

The interview was for not for the position I did apply for. I had seen before the interview they had already removed the Senior Software Engineer position from their website, so wasn't expecting anything anyways.

The interview time is short for the amount of questions they ask, so I couldn't give much detail in my answers, as they would interrupt me with the next question if I ellaborated my responses a bit. Maybe it was lack of interest from they part? Were testing the questions for this new position?

When it was my turn to ask questions, someone entered in their room and they had to end the interview.

The next day, they told me the process was not to continue with me. I didn't want to continue it, anyways, as the position discussed didn't interest me (not what I applied for) and didn't get a positive image from them during the interview.

I had a first interview with a HR guy and someone from QA department. It took around 30 minutes and it was more about my general experience (overview, that tools I've used, etc).

For the second interview which was a live coding session, I had to code a FizzBuzz test. Once I was done they changed the test a little bit (FizzBuzzRazz, see below) and asked me to refactor the code. However, the interviewers made a mistake with the requirements for the second exercise and it took me a little bit more to figure out there was something wrong. They said I was right so they updated the requirements and I finally completed it.

However after waiting for a week they replied saying that I haven't been selected for the role without any reason. It was weird and not very professional.

I applied online, reaching out from a LinkedIn posting.
The application is done through Typeform website, answering some generic questions about past experiences, expectations and whatnot. It takes 1 to 2 hours depending on how natural the answers come to you.
They request to upload a CV or link your LinkedIn profile, but close requesting to upload a video of yourself telling who you are. This left me puzzled. Working in recruiting myself, I don't see how something this generic can be evaluated consistently when you give a question that can be answered in a million ways.
I immediately received an automated email saying they're getting plenty applications and will get in touch when done reviewing them. 3 weeks have passed since then, but no word of HR. I guess I was rejected? Overall, not the clearest experience.
