I applied online. I received a call the next day from HR and had an phone interview. The next day I received an email setting up an in-person interview with the Compliance manager for the next Monday. Interview with Compliance manager was fairly easy, mostly situational questions and comments about the job. I thought interview went well. I was told I'd hear back "by Friday, Monday at the latest". Of course, and as always, that was a lie. I emailed HR, the same person I had phone interview with, and asked if position had been filled. No response. 24 hours later, I called and left voice mail asking the same question. Again, no response. I can only assume I didn't get the job, but at the very least you can let me know. You don't need to be a cowardly liar. Your time is not more valuable than mine. I wasted my time taking time off for the interview, driving there, driving home, etc. You can take 10 seconds to reply to my email and let me know the position has been filled Update-- I just received a generic rejection email from them, two weeks after I was told I would "hear something".
