Seem quite disorganised and confusing with left hand not knowing what right hand is doing. Applied for a role but got put forward for another role which is fine as it's also within my realm but after initial interview, got moved forward in another role again as they think I'm more aligned in that role. Then came an offline technical assessment to be completed within a week. Open ended coding exercise in language of your choice so able do as much or as little as you want to demonstrate your ability. After submitting my solution, was called for a second "technical" interview which I was told was to go through my solution to the technical assessment plus other tech questions. After refreshing and preparing to talk about my solution, the technical interview itself, there was not a single mention of the technical assessment. I don't think the interviewers have even seen it. Instead there were a lot of DevOps questions which weren't really my strength although I know high level enough to give an answer, probably not the best answers. Makes me wonder if the interview was for yet another different role. I haven't heard a thing since, that was 6 weeks ago. Would have appreciated a confirmation even if it is negative.
