I was reached out to by a corporate recruiter. They told me that I was "perfect" for the position based on my experience and education. Then I was interviewed onsite and was met with the exact opposite. The "hiring manager" for the position seemed to despise me just for taking up her time as an interviewee. She asked irrelevant questions, seemingly with the intention of making me fumble and stumble, assumedly to give her a reason to deny my application for further review.
