They gave me automation Task which I completed properly and then after 1 week rejection email came and when asked about the reason, they didn't bother to give an reply. Very bad experience and will refrain from applying to this company.

Entrevista

One online conversation, two physical conversations with various employees in Berlin, Germany and Enschede, Netherlands. There was a lot of discussion with the CTO about the issues with resistance to change in IT, because of the differences in philosophy between a physical data center that is very reliable and a service like AWS that is very flexible and cost-effective.

I was particularly interested in how the CTO expressed the challenges he faced with leading the IT organization, with two very different cultures, into a new paradigm. He asked me a lot of questions about managing change, my philosophy on leadership etc., which I thought was a bit strange given I was interviewing for a systems engineer job. He even mentioned that maybe I would be the person to help him lead IT through the change, since I have experience doing that and have taught best practices on the subject for years.

However, after successfully completing the interviews, being told unequivocally that I had been given a unanimous thumbs up for team fit, and finishing a complex DevOps challenge that took me 30 hours to complete, I was told that mysterious "certain people" had objected due to the perception that I did not have enough experience "operating cloud infrastructures" and had concerns about "team fit."

My opinion is that you should not apply for work with this company. They absolutely have issues with professionalism and ethics.

It was smooth and efficient. Responses and feedback were quick, communication was good. The interviewer was polite, clear and straight to the point. The interview process was well prepared and it was clear they had a clear idea of my CV which was nice.

First of all the HR employee was very dry, emotionless and I'd even say rude. He invited me for a first round interview on Skype. However, nobody called me, so I wasted an hour of my time. I tried to contact the HR employee, but the only thing I heard was his voicemail. I had to find the manager that was supposed to interview me on LinkedIn and inform him of the situation. He claimed he didn't even know anything about this interview and told me to contact HR to set a new date.

Days went by and I didn't receive any answer nor anybody answered the phone. Finally, after a couple of days, I got a very very laconic e-mail that they have another date for me. I didn't even get a proper apology.

I agreed to another date tho. I was waiting on Skype and this time the same HR employee informed me 30 min before the interview that my interviewer was sick and couldn't call. Again, no apology.

Finally, after a couple of days, I got to the point when the interviewer called me. The conversation was very pleasant. However, he couldn't even answer the most obvious questions that I asked.

Eventually, I received an information that they liked me (yeeyyy...) and they would like to send me a case study to do. I'd like to emphasize here that the HR employee asked me: "Could you please remind me to send the case study to you on Monday?" Well... ok...

Finally, he sent me the case study and... I was shocked. It consisted of 4 parts, each part consisted at least of 3 tasks. I'd have to spend a whole week on it. Giving them my ideas for 4 different campaigns? It bordered on abuse...

Thankfully, I got an offer from another company and I kindly informed Takeaway.com that I'd quite the recruitment process there. And I used the occasion to give them my feedback on the case study. You know, for their own advantage... Till this day I haven't received any answer, no "thank you for your time", no "sorry for you inconvenience", no "we're grateful for your feedback".

The people taking the interview were very kind and made me feel comfortable. The interviewers provided me a very detailed job description and tasks that I was going to perform. I was asked questions about previous experience and skills.

De sollicitatieprocedure bestond in principe uit twee gesprekken. Omdat ik zelf onvoldoende informatie had ingewonnen werd mij de mogelijkheid geboden om een extra gesprek te plannen. Zowel de recruiter, manager als medewerkers waarmee ik heb gesproken waren erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk!

First remote filter interview with their in-house recruiter, afterwards two sets of onsite interviews meeting engineers and product managers.

After the third interview I was told I'd get a reply within two days. After two days I got an e-mail that they needed an additional two weeks to complete some other interview processes before making a choice.

After that I never heard back from them.
