I was approached on LinkedIn by a recruiter, then I was sent the data challenge. It's a very routine and easy test, data is fake data sampled from normal distributions so the algorithm you use will have an easy time to do its job. Took me a few hours to do it. Then next round is a video call with the manager and one of the senior members going over the results and some technical questions. Then the onsite, which is exactly the same as what another reviewer said. I won't get into details since it's already here. But overall, it's easy and inefficient. I talked to 14 people, most of it was phone conference calls or video calls on a laptop, which basically shows how ill prepared they are for a simple conference chat.
I think it was easy and I did well but they decided to reject me and how they did it is my problem. They did not bother to call me or send me a personalized email. They sent me an automated email saying thanks for talking with us but we decided to move with other candidates. Considering I went all the way to Texas and met all these people, this is rude and very unprofessional. I asked the HR to give me feedback but they completely ignored my email.
For the onsite, they made the hotel reservation but asked me to pay for it and said we will reimburse you. The reimbursement took two months! For 6 weeks, I had to email HR 3-4 times a week, asking them for updates. First few emails were igonered and then they kept dragging their feet and coming up with new excuses. This is really bad.
Overall, interview was easy but the way they handled the rejection notification and reimbursement was really poor and unprofessional. I have never talked with a company this unprofessional.

Most of the questions in the other review were the same for me. Some other questions were, what if the higher management is against the data approach or something like that, which basically meant some people in the company don`t belive in data science and how do you convince them. My answer was better communication and listening to their reasons and explaining mine and finding common ground. Then there were some strange questions such as what if your work means some people will lose their job, what would you do about that? I said I`ll try to train those folks to get new skills and keep the around and use their expirience in something else. I really didn't want to say this is the reality of automation and it is what it is! There was maybe one or two more of this type! So overall, be mentally ready to get strange questions like this.

Simple and very straight forward. There was not much focus on the technical side of things in my opinion which was kind of a relief honestly. Good luck future interviewees
