Entrevista
I applied on the 9th. They called me on the 15th for an interview the next day at 9:00am. I got there early and the manager was done with his first interview and I got seen early. He told me immediately that he interviews differently than most people and he was right. It was casual and I answered everything honestly. He liked my "vibe" so he told me he would have his assistant manager interview me the next day (which was a Saturday). Unfortunately I had a family emergency and I called and said that I couldn't come to the interview because of it. The main manager said that he was willing to wait for everything to calm down. I called on the 19th and he said he would have his assistant call me. I only waited a day until the assistant called me and scheduled me for an interview at 12:30pm the next day. This interview was more "normal". "What can you bring to Staples?" "What can Staples do for you?" "Why Staples?". He told me that he would discuss everything with the main manager after our interview and if they agreed they would send me a link to do a background check and I was to follow and fill in EVERYTHING. I thought it would be a day or two before I heard anything. An hour after my interview I received the link for the background check. I was told it can take 7-10 days for the background check to go through. I emailed the manager after I was done with the background check and thanked him for the opportunity. I have never been or arrested or anything like that so the check shouldn't take to long to go through. If I am offered the position I will definitely take it.

"Do you have a problem with attendance? I don't hire people with that issue."
Interview was super quick and casual. Mostly answering questions about my strengths and availability. It was about a 15-20 minute interview. The interviewer was transparent about how many other applicants there were.
Interview process was fairly easy consisting of just one interview with the manager. Questions were the typical / generic kind. Got a call back in decent time frame. Wouldn't sweat the process.

Can you talk a bit more about your customer service experience?
Contacted the company about a cashiering job. Was put in touch with the right person after a reasonable amount of time. Things seemed to go as expected. Nothing tricky about it.
