Talked to the department head that I wanted to do research with and he got me a grant to fund the research. Nothing really too complicated or anything like that.
- Why do you want to be here?

They asked pretty standard interview questions and it lasted maybe half an hour. They asked about my past work experience and how those skills and experiences might translate to this position.
- greatest weakness?

Easy interview. However, the job postings for such positions at SCSU are usually learned through word of mouth. Departments/offices tend to hire from within, so it doesn't seem like a totally fair process to incoming students.
- What ideas can bring to department?

I sent my résumé, CV and letter of recommendation directly to the clinic director via email as requested. I was contacted within a week for an in-person interview which was scheduled 3 days later at the university. The interview process was a total of 2.5 hours which included an initial interview with the head of the department, immediately followed with a five-person panel interview that was 1.5 hours in length and finally the dean of the college interviewed me. Since I was familiar with the department, teachers and clinicians, the interview atmosphere was more "conversational" in nature. I was informed by the dean of the college that she would be in contact with me directly about the outcome of the position but it has been 4 weeks with no notice.
- Why did you apply for this position?
- Where do you see yourself in five years?
- Do you have any supervision experience?
- What is your clinical background?
- How would you handle a student who was having difficulty in their practicum experience?
- Why did you not pursue an AuD?
- What are your three top hearing aid manufacturers?
- Have you participated in any outreach programs?
- Are you available to work evenings?
- What are your strengths as a clinician?
- Tell us about a situation either personal or professional that you resolved?
- Any tasks that you were asked to take on at your former employment that was not related to your job position?
- I see that you have many interests outside your field. Tell me about them and why you are passionate about...

Very simple and brief. Sent my CV and Teaching Philosophy ahead of time, and scheduled a meeting with the department head. We discussed my research, my teaching interests, and the courses they needed me to teach. Very comfortable and non-threatening.
- How does your research influence your teaching?
- How much experience do you have teaching 1st and 2nd year students?

Very informal. It was the department of my major so I already knew my supervisor from a classroom setting and he already knew my work ethic. He went over the salary and work required and asked me if I was still interested in taking the job. It was for very few hours and minimum wage, but it easily fit into my work schedule so I took the job offer. After that I headed over to the university HR department to fill out all the required paperwork and then started working immediately after that. I kept the job until I graduated.
- Are you comfortable working with Excel?

Three person panel interview -- one senior peer, one equivalent peer, one employee advocate. Interview was a series of pre-determined questions related to technology knowledge, training, expertise. Also some questions about general technology. Immediately following this was 1 on 1 interview with CIO generally discussing technology and direction of the university. I felt greater rapport, connection, and comfort with the more free-form discussion with the CIO than the rote questions with the panel.
- What has been your experience with Incident Handling?
