I applied for three different positions at Sears and ended up having two interviews at different stores. The first interview I was called to schedule an interview, and the second I was emailed and had to schedule it online. My only problem with the online method was that since I applied for two different positions I didn't know which one it was for because it wasn't stated anywhere in the email or the page you sign up for the date and times. Anyways, when I got to the second interview I just asked an associate where I go and she was very friendly and walked me all the way there. She also found someone from HR to help me figure out who I was meeting with. That's how I found out that it was for the LP position. I only waited for about 5 minutes for the department manager to come since their office isn't by the HR office. He informed me before the interview officially started that Sears usually does 2-3 interviews before hiring. First one is with the department manager or HR manager, and the other is usually with the store manager. So I pretty much aced the first part of the interview so he wanted to go into the second part of the questions and I aced those. He ended up asking me if I had time to meet with the store manager also, and if he liked me then he was going to offer me the job that day(He had 2 other people to interview after me, I saw the board with names & dept). So I was offered the job that day and accepted it. I actually applied for a seasonal position but he liked me so much and it was the ending of November he made it Regular Part Time and my starting pay is $10.50. First raise is after 3 months and certification to $10.75 and that date will be annual eval date. At the moment I am just waiting for background check and drug test results to come back for orientation date.

It was a very unprofessional, almost desperate like interview from their part. They immediately just asked about my availability as well as how quickly and I could start. Mind you now it was the week of Thanksgiving and they were expecting me to start on Black Friday right at Midnight. I'm not that stupid
