phone interview, seemed casual. interviewer said they were going to pass me a long for second interview and ended up not giving me second interview and telling me the job was full. would have appreciated the heads up but it is what it is

The store manager reached out to me via email and we set up a time. Went to the mall and met her assistant he wasn’t aware I was coming in for an interview. The interview went great lasted about 45 minutes. He wasn’t doing the hiring process so he wasn’t sure what the next steps were. I was a little confused to why I didn’t meet with the store manager but I found out she had called out but didn’t communicate with her assistant about my interview. After two weeks I followed up with the store manager and she informed me they decided to hold off on the position but they would reach out if they decided to reopen the position.
