I was contacted by an internal recruiter a few days after applying online. We spoke for 30 minutes via telephone and she expressed an interest in my continuing along in the process with a second phone conversation with the hiring manager, which was schedule for the following week.
One day prior to my scheduled phone interview the recruiter sent me an email stating that the hiring manager had found more candidates who were local to the area so he wanted to speak with them first. Very unprofessional experience and left the impression that NetSpend is a cheap company looking to save a buck. Pathetic!

short casual video call. this was via an agency, though, not a direct hire. It's probably harder to get hired directly. It was refreshing how human this process was. So many places make candidates jump through irrelevant hoops.
Typical interview that asks about your skills and goals. Lasts about thirty minutes. Definitely have your elevator pitch ready. It’s common for them to use a recruiter to reach out to you and do the initial interview.

Questionnaire followed by 1-hour interview with the hiring manager and a senior engineer in the team. the questions were more oriented towards behavioural questions. the interview process was smooth and direct and I was happy with it
