Application and process conducted in person. PI asks simple questions within the lab. You have to answer the question and if you do, its on your level of competency. Rest is followed on and reasonably well.

The hiring manager asked me about my background and interest in the role. It was very straightforward and casual. My background didn’t actually match with the role but it didn’t matter.

It was very smooth sailing depending on the professor. I applied through the SPUR Portal and everything followed from there. The questions made you think so it was quite inquistive; i would recommend brushing up on your resume and practice outloud.

After submitting my application, I was invited to participate in two interviews. Each interview was with a member of the research institute I would be working at. They were relatively straight-forward interviews consisting of mostly experience-related questions. In the second interview, I had a couple of technical-related questions, but that was not a major part of the interview.

Straightforward interview with not a lot of problems. I had to wait for awhile longer than was my time scheduled, and we went over the time allotted, but it went well otherwise.

Not really an interview, already knew the prof beforehand. Be sure to network hard guys, it helps a lot in terms of getting position. Resume drops are not very efficient.

very interesting questions were asked. The focus is on research experience, and it's especially important for freshers. very nice interviewer who's easy to chat with and makes you feel at ease and comfortable.

The interview was fairly easy and fluent. I knew all the answers to the questions they asked me. Most are about technical questions and research experience. I had enough experience to answer all the questions.

Interview was conducted via Skype due to being out of state at the time. The interview was with a postdoc in the lab, and was a strong mix of an informal style behavioral fit interview, past work experience, as well as future aspirations.
