A recruiter interviewed me and then I was requested to undertake an IQ test. I was overqualified for the position. I was informed a week later that I didn't pass their test. Being familiar with IQ tests as a Mensa member I was perplexed by this tactic. The role requires someone with high EQ and CQ scores, however these were not measured. Suffice to say, I feel I dodged a bullet. Any corporate culture that bases itself on admittance through a dodgy IQ test is not only elitist, but doing a disservice to valid candidates. The challenge the recruiter stated the company was having was lack of cross generational cohesion. The CEO wants his Millennials to work harder!!! Judging by the hiring process MerdianLink has cultural problems that go beyond generational discord.
