Applied through a connection to campus recruiting. Received an invitation a week later to the Dallas inside look in October. Went to dinner the night before with KPMG professionals and fellow interviewees (10 of us for IT advisory) at a really nice steakhouse. Had the rest of the evening after dinner to ourselves and to have any final preparations for our interviews tomorrow. Interview day was very relaxed and very hospitable. I had 3 interviews (Director, Partner, Director) after our morning information sessions about KPMG. All the interviews were conversational, nothing technical. There were three weeks of "Inside Looks" interviews, I was in the first week. Heard back from one of my interviewers approximately 2 weeks later and offered me a position in the Data and Analytics practice of the External Audit group. They are looking for a person that will FIT WELL on their team. Technical skills are not a must, they know you will need training. Show that you will thrive on their team.
