Techinical interview! It´s important to study about RCT method before. During the interview you will have to solve thecnical cases in front of the interviewers. However, the process is really clear in you will receive a feedback in the end.

Took several months, each interview with 2-3 employees in the higher up positions asking questions from their perspective in the workplace and based on my past experiences. It was initially for another position but then I was offered another position that I was more eligible for.

It was very technical and you need to know statistics very well. The interview started with basics questions and then a case study that I had completed was discussed, then questions on fit were asked and lastly, it was about my experiences with the government.

There is a financial knowledge assessment followed by an HR interview, followed by an interview with team members and then head of the team you are joining. Expect 2 weeks between each step.

Though there were not too many rounds of interview however the time they took in responding was very long. The assignment was interesting but very lengthy with questions around situational analysis and technical knowledge of RCTs & Research. Also, it seemed like the interviee did not read the assignment before taking the interview as alot of technical questions were repeated and they were not able to understand when I was saying things like "as I have mentioned in my assignment". Going through the assignment would help. They did not give a reason for rejection, which was a little disappointing after a very long and tedious process. The feedback could have really helped.

There was an online application, after which I was invited to take the stata and case study tests, and then an interview with the Principal Investigators. It takes about a month for the entire process.

Test, followed up by a panel interview. A relatively fair interview if you prepare appropriately. Focus on RCTs and the history of the organisation. There is not too many technical questions, but this could differ depending on the role you are applying for.

Had one round of interviews with 3 panelists. Straight forward. There was a technical test prior to the interviews. The questions were easy to answer and it was a virtual interview.

For an RA position at J-PAL SA, there might be a screening call first to understand whether you are ready to relocate to the project location and what would be your earliest joining date. Following this, a STATA/R test depending on project requirements, along with a case study on randomised evaluations will be sent to you on a mutually agreed day. You’ll have to solve these and send back within 48-72 hours. Following this, there would be a technical interview with the Research Manager, and then a final interview to understand fit with the Principal Investigator.
