Well, there is nothing exceptional about it at all. Its an interview for a government position. If you fill out all there paperwork it should be smooth sailing. Just make sure you DO finish all your paperwork. That is key.

I went to the IRS in-person hiring event. It was a really simple process of registering and fingerprinting. No actual interview questions were asked. The whole process took about three hours.
Direct hire. Needed basic info and was hired on the spot. It was quite a simple process, just long. Come with everything they request or you may be turned away.
No interview was required for this position, just applied and was offered the position. Began as a clerk and did that for two years to get my foot in the door.
